AZIENDA AGRICOLA FRATELLI PINNA

SARDINIA INSIDE

A family passion

For more than a hundred years we have been producing great oils without squeezing nature.

The core of our philosophy is the pursuit of quality through the respect and enhancement of an area so rich that it offers us all the necessary ingredients
for superior agricultural production.
Including energy.

In fact, much of our production process is powered by the sun and olives.
We recycle the kernels to extract valuable energy from them, which is added to the energy provided by photovoltaic systems.
Similarly, our two-stage oil mill extracts oil by harnessing the plant water contained in the olives, without any use of external water resources.

Thus were born our three oils, all strictly monovarietal (Bosana-only)
but distinguished by specific and unmistakable organoleptic properties: the Antichi Uliveti del Prato oil, the Denocciolato di Bosana according to Veronelli and the Maccia d’Agliastru.
Real family jewels, capable of eliciting unanimous acclaim from press and consumers, winning the most important awards and recognitions.

With the same obsequious approach and identical qualitative results, we also dedicate ourselves to the other products that enrich our brand’s offerings: preserves, wines (Àgale, our Vermentino di Sardegna DOP, Okila, our Cannonau di Sardegna DOP and Carì, our Cagnulari Isola dei Nuraghi IGT), bread and pasta (the latter protagonists of the dedicated Eticalimenta brand)
All natural.
All authentically Sardinian.
All produced with full respect for the land that makes them possible.

Because the only impact we wish to have is with the hearts of those who choose us.
And not only in a figurative sense.
In fact, for the past few years we have been allocating the pomace from our olives to the pharmaceutical industry, which extracts valuable active ingredients from them to combat various heart diseases.

Our Mission.

Azienda Agricola F.lli Pinna was born around the 1940s thanks to Sebastiano, our father, and later, in 1997, it passed to the three of us, Antonella, Gavino and Leonardo, the children.
Since those years it has evolved a lot and especially thanks to the valuable advice of our mother Caterina, we have chosen to invest in quality and respect for agronomic and processing practices that enhance the characteristics of raw materials.

The estates of Prato Comunale and Ochila represent the farms of the entire property, located between Sassari and Ittiri, are characterized by a hilly slope and clay soil with a substrate of basaltic rocks.

The centuries-old olive trees stand in the locality of Prato Comunale, where the vast majority of the plants belong to the native Bosana variety: it is in this same estate that the oil mill and the workshop for the production of vegetables in oil are located.
In the fields of Ochila, on the other hand, mostly vegetables are grown, including, artichokes, asparagus, eggplant and tomatoes, and a small vineyard.

We believe that the preservation of the land and its biodiversity, is a crucial aspect to be able to give value but above all identity to the products that this land offers, respecting the naturalness of the raw material in all its organoleptic facets.
