The control of the production chain of an agri-food product must be traceable, that is, it must be documented and extended to the entire production chain. In particular, as regards the sector related to the production and marketing of Italian olive oil, especially to share an ethical code capable of differentiating and safeguarding national varieties, our producers have joined the project ‘L’Olio secondo Veronelli’, conceived and promoted by the famous oenologist Luigi Veronelli. Through the appropriate label, the final consumer will be able to acquire fundamental data, such as those relating to the producer company, the systems used for processing the raw materials, the year of production, the quantities marketed and all the nutritional and organoleptic values of each individual variety proposed.
